Okay then, I think I should build a camp here.

The forum moves kinda slowly I guess.

well, overall forum and blog are more lively before social media trend kicks in, after that, most of online conversation shift into social media..

btw, have you checked the FTS thread? I'd recommend the post around page 5/6 to most recent, who knows you are interested in joining our adventure :))

Herr Panda, don't forum & blog also fall under 'social media' category?

Social media takes on many different forms including magazines, Internet forums, weblogs, social blogs, microblogging, wikis, podcasts, photographs or pictures, video, rating and social bookmarking.

seriously, that thread is terrifying, it's kinda hard for me to write a chain story like that. tongue :p

personally I like forums more than social media, it's more civilized (mostly).

also I don't have to use my RL identity or link myself to it. :))

edit: well maybe camo made a distinction between 'RL-based socmeds' and 'username-based socmeds' tongue :p

:D Ah yeah, somehow in my mind, forum and blog aren't included in nowadays-socmeds since most forum and blog aren't that massive compare to facebook, twitter, plurk, foursquare, etc...

Did anyone remember how and why you got into facebook / twitter in the 1st place?
I still remember that I used to refuse to make an account on facebook during the early year of socmed, especially since I already got a friendster account. But finally I was intrigued by the games my friends keep on mentioning.. at that time it was "Jedi vs Sith" or something. :D
